Strengths:
-Tall. Reaches the top of the net easily with a small jump.
-Fast. In case he's fooled by a feint, he's fast enough to reach the ground faster and quickly reach and jump a second time to block - or at least one touch - the ball
-Strong. Can smash through some spikes when offensive and spikes are less likely to break through his defense; but that doesn't mean he's invincible.
-Stamina. Because he's one of the tallest in his team, therefore has an advantage, he trained enough to be able to last a while on court.

Weaknesses:
-Accuracy. He sucks at serving, and he sometimees managed to make it land outside.
-Passive-Aggressive. When there are too many spikes that get past him, he gets irritated and turns violent and relies on brute force, sometimes to the point that he'll be charged with 'touch net's.
-Lacks technique. Brute force is more his style. He's working on it, though. o v o

Personality:
Ryoutarō is a cheery individual, and, as a result, very friendly. He's calm to the point that if anything weird happens, he'll smile through it all and just stare until it's all over, thereby avoiding conflict. He's optimistic and tries his best to pacify any conflicts. He acts like an old man, being raised by one for his whole life, as shown in the way he likes to curl up by a kotatsu in winter, and drinking milk after a hot bath, and by his habits, which is to automatically help anyone he deems need helping, which, for him, is most people. He's got a traditional side to him, which you'll often see when he's in a traditional home or shrine, or even in his studies, as he's good at history and Japanese, but sucks at English. When he's in a competition, though, he turns a complete 180; his face turns blank, and he becomes almost passive-aggressive. Aside from his good manners, though, he can be pretty scary at times; This may seem odd, but he's sometimes temperamental and quick to judge; he won't show it, but when you first meet, he'll judge your personality, good or bad, and you'll stay like that in his eyes until you prove otherwise. Small grudges are kept; you might not even know you're on his bad side, but he's actually watching you closely, feeling better about the small misfortunes you sometimes get; but it's nothing too bad or serious, just a small slip here and he'll be back to normal and helping you stand up, no more grudge, since he's had the pleasure of watching you fall down, and, honestly, that's his own guilty pleasure; he doesn't like that he likes it, pretty much. ` v `)/

Biography:
Ryoutarō was born to a single father who never remarried after his wife's death. His father owned a kendo dojo, and, therefore, Ryotaro grew up practicing kendo.

During his middle school years, he was still into kendo, easily becoming one of the strongest players his previous school had, and there were even discussions that he might become the captain when he became a third year, thanks to his experience and talent in sports which was improving thanks to his father's dojo. There came a time when he saw a classmate distressed. Apparently, a spiker had gotten injured when he was trying to fetch a ball that had gotten caught in a tree from an impromptu-game in the field, and fell as a result, fracturing his leg. Ryoutarō voluteered to become a replacement, since he was just naturally kind in nature, and the classmate, noticimg that Ryoutarō was tall, eagerly accepted. Ryoutarō honestly expected to be a spiker, since that was the position the player was, but was surprised that they had made him a middle blocker, instead. Confused, he asked why, and all the response he got was a cheer and a 'because you're tall!' Apparently, the spiker was only a substitute, and the classmate was his close friend. Ryoutarō didn't really become angry, but he felt a little triumphant when his classmate, actually the libero, got distracted and the volleyball landed on his face. That was when his interest in volleyball was piqued, and whenever he passed by and saw the club, he'd pause and watch for a whiile, before remembering that he had kendo and he would then go off to practice.

When the time came that he was in his final year of middle school, he indeed became the captain of the kendo team, but there was always that curiosity that sparked whenever he saw a ball. When the time came to choose a High School, he picked Yamakiri Danshi Gakuen. His father had heard about the grand school, with its traditional ways and acts, and felt his son would do good to go there to be a better person, and, honestly, he heard there were monks and thought they were intriguing so he wanted his son to go. Ryoutaro agreed, and went there with the purpose of pleasing his father, and at the same time, hearing about the good sports program they had, he planned on joining even before his father had actually even suggested it.

When he enrolled in High School, he met a volleyball player he once faced in the competition in middle school where he played as the middle blocker. Surprised, they talked a lot, but when he talked about joining the kendo club, the player denied and he was dragged into joining the volleyball team, and he's been playing ever since. Thankfully, he was already interested, and he grew to appreciate volleyball more; and as for kendo, he practices it at home in the dojo. ' v '

-He wanted to be a spiker in High School, but he was again told to be a middle blocker because he's tall. He's accepted this fact, though, and is very grateful for every toss given to him.
-He probably overdosed on milk and became a giant-- //slapped
